Hi,

I need help I accidentally wrote the incorrect result for my CELPIP
My results are
  • Writing 7
  • Speaking 7
  • Listening 12
  • Reading 12
I accidentally swap
writing 12 and reading 7
got a letter from CIC showing that my results don't match which was obviously a mistake, they requested more documents, I already sent my CELPIP official result, what should I reply now? Please help!!

What documents have they requested?

They don't really specify , they sent me a letter with the following

The language test results that was submitted with your application does not match the test scores provided by the language testing agency. Before I make a final decision, you may submit additional information relating to this issue. You may also submit any information addressing the issue of your official language proficiency.

If you meet the requirements and CRS score with the correct results, send a letter along with copy of results saying that it was a mistake. Good that they at least let you explain, they could have also easily rejected.

You should write a letter explaining that you made a mistake while entering the scores. Attach a copy of the CELPIP results.

Also, if your language of instruction in college/university was English, mention that in the letter as well. If you have a bachelors/masters where most of your subjects were taught in English, it's reasonable to presume that you meet a CLB level 7. If you've ever taken any other English tests (TOEFL, GRE, GMAT, SAT, IELTS..etc), attach those results as well, even if they are slightly older.

Tell them that you made a silly typo and that your scores are above the minimum level required even without the typo, and that it was never your intention to mislead IRCC.

Thank you so much for the suggestion! I've done the TOEFL and did my grad in English, I will write this in the letter!

Yes, anything that sets the officers mind at ease about your language skills will help.
