I know how to rectify things, this is more like a complaint.
I finally got my PR card after some slight delays, all the info is correct but the photo is of a complete stranger (different sex and age). Apparently this is happening frequently enough that they have detailed instructions for re-issue application in this scenario. Heard from a friend who encountered similar issues before, and an agent told them that the whole process after photo upload in the portal is automated and handled by AI, so there's not much the staff could do about it.
Just wondering if anyone else is encountering/encountered the same problem? They could have screwed up a whole batch. I think it is very unfair to us that we have to waste more time on the extra paperwork when it is them who made the mistakes, not to mention this type of mistake is absolutely unacceptable in the first place. If the processing time is so long, I would expect them to at least handle things with more care. Luckily I don't have any overseas trips planned soon so I could stay here and wait, but still the indefinite wait and bureaucracy is frustrating.
