Wrong NOC Code Entered

Hi, I had applied for Canada Immigration under skilled worker category in November 2011 but my file was returned by CIC in January 2012 saying that i do not qualify.

But after going through the papers i came to know that my agent had entered the wrong NOC Code due to which my file got returned. Though i have got my money back from CIC, but the money paid to agent has gone waste.

What should i do since the immigration is closed for now?

u shud write to them and explain the situation tell them that ur actual profession comes under elligible NOC at that time.and tell them that ur experience letters and educational credentials will prove what u r saying.request them to re open ur case as it was a human error to make a mistake while mentioning the the NOC.
there is a chance that they consider ur request.
this has happened to my cousin and he wrote as i mentioned and it worked.

If the original application was unter FSW-1, this will be a waste of time, since the 10,000-cap had been reached since. Even if they would reconsider (which I doubt), the application will now be returned because of this.

Show the details about the same to ur agent, ask them for refund.

Ask ur agent to refund ur money as he didn't do his job well. FSW-1 is closed right now and the cap was reached for the last year but surely writing to them is no harm so do write.

There's nothing you can do. CIC isn't going to re-open your file. Your agent made a very bad mistake.

You can reapply again if you still qualify to apply now. If you don't qualify to apply now, then you'll have to wait until there are changes to the program and see if you qualify then.

I doubt that CIC will reconsider your application. Ok everything might be for a good.

On the other hand please let us know the agent and ask for a refund; its a costly error.
