Wrong information on my TRV

Hi guys,

Anyone experienced having a wrong information on your TRV in your passpport?
I have been a PGWP holder since Novembe 2020 and applied for my TRV of the same month. Today I received my passport back but its says "student" on my TRV instead of "worker" can you advise me what to do?

I think it doesn't matter because I have read many places that you can use the same TRV to enter Canada.

May I ask if you had to provide proof of medical exam?

are you sure? no i did not need to provide a medical exam since i have been here since 2017

Many people there have PGWP while still holding a valid S-1 TRV in their passports, and they could return to Canada. A few of them even called CIC to check and received the same response. So I think in your case, as long as the visa is valid, it's fine.

Btw, I'm about to extend my TRV based on my PGWP. There is a question in the form asking about my details of my visit. They ask for start date and end date. But I'm already in Canada, what did you put in your application? Thanks

For the start date since you’re extending tailor it to your pgwp. Date started as the date of issue and end date would be the expiry

I also have similar issue where they put Student trv on my passport in Canada, instead of worker. I have valid work permit till dec 2021. I had to travel urgently to India in May 2021. They have sent me new PPR, but in india, all VACs are currently closed.
Can I travel back to canada on student trv? Any guidance will be appreciated.

I have applied TRV for my PGWP on feb-2021 for my old work permit end on July 31,2011. And I got decision on july 31,2021 asked to submit passport.submitting passport as requested.

I have received my passport today and I saw in visa instead of WORKER I got it as VISITOR and expire is till end of my passport.

as I reached out to a consultant they said not to worry its happening to lots of people they said.

Is it ok or shall I submit webform.

Hi,

I applied and approved for study permit while holding the open work permit. I got my new visa stamp saying it's under the ``worker'' category, and I'm very confused since I was applying for the study permit.

Would anyone kindly let me know if this could cause any trouble when I enter the port of entry and collect my study permit document in the immigration office?

I tried to send email to the visa office in my city where I submitted the application and but I'm still waiting for their response...


Any help or suggestion will be greatly appreciated!

Hi, I have applied for my Spouse's TRV ( extended SOWP valid till Dec end 2021) as she has extended her OWP (with my PGWP). Instead of stamping "W-1 Worker" visa they stamped "V1 Visitor" and they have given the validity until her passport expires which is Jun 2029.

We are planning to apply for CEC next week. Is this stamping ok? Do we need to contact IRCC to change it? Will it affect our PR CEC Application / process?


Can someone please help!!!
