Hi! Please help. We're filling out the application forms for the family class sponsorship. I'm not sure what to fill in my dad's date of birth. As far as we knew, his date of birth is November 16, 1956, according to his birth certificate, but when we got his baptismal certificate, it says he was baptized in 1951 and his school records also matches this if he was born in 1951. So we think his birth certificate has the wrong info.
Anyway, we applied to the national statistics office for a change of that error, they tell us that it takes time to do that but we started the process anyway. All his ids, police record and passport state the date in his birth certificate and we cannot correct it all yet because the national statistics office hasn't corrected the error.
What i want to ask is which date of birth should i fill out his form with? The national statistics office hasn't change his records yet and we received the letter from court that it is still in process. We have an affidavit that states all this and a copy of the letter from court. So should i just fill out what was in the birth certificate or the true date of his birth?
