WP expiring soon|| OHIP extension

Hi,

My current Work permit is going to expire next month.My OHIP validity is same as of current WP.
I have applied application for work permit extension from inside Canda and looking at timelines it will not come in before my current WP is valid.

As I constantly go to doctor, please let me know how can I extend my OHIP card even if my WP is in applied status or if there is any other alternative?

Nope. Ohip customer care confirmed that we cannot get ohip without valid wp. Today my extension got approved. So once I receive hard copy I will apply for ohip extension.

Hi if we are awaiting the WP extension approval with PR application in progress. Can we not apply for OHIP extension with the implied status or we need to wait for either PR status or WP extension status ? Can you please help to clarify. Thanks in advance.
