I’ve completed my one semester in Chemical Laboratory Technician course but I want to shift to accounting for Sept intake in the same college. For that, I will have to sit idle for 4 months from May to August. Will that create any problem during PGWP and getting PR?

However, May to August is usually the summer break so it should not be an issue. You are not expected to attend classes during this time period. Unless you study permit limits you to a specific program only, you should be fine and should not worry about it. You will most likely have to get an extension of it eventually.
