Good day! I am a newbie here in the forum and I am glad that I have found this. I am a bit worried about my son, he has autism and my husband who is Canadian citizen will be sponsoring us pretty soon through Inland Spousal. My son is still back home. I have read a lot about children having autism as dependent of an applicant for PR who are unfortunately being denied. Should we do an upfront medical and disclose that he has autism or wait for CIC to request a medical later on? Will my son be exempt of excessive demand on health grounds if we are being sponsored by my husband? Pls help..Thanks in advance

Your son can't be refused due to his autism because he is being sponsored as a dependent through family class. He is exempt from the excessive demand rule.
