I have not heard anything since I got SA on April 21. We have sent background check and schedule A via mail/email/webform in the past week. Everyone who applied around me has gotten medical requests. This is worrying me. Is there anything I should be doing?

Yes. Relax and wait! ;D

You will find that CIC do not do things in strict sequence with those around you, you will have been assigned to a particular case manager who will 'manage' in their workload seemingly in their own way and at their own pace. Your timescales are well within norms.

When will I know of my app has been transferred?

Option 1:
Wait and keep checking your MyCIC, Spam folders of your email, Applicant's ecas detailed status

Option 2: (If lack of medical request is giving you sleepless nights)
Initiate another case specific inquiry through the webform, asking about your medical request and that you have not received it as yet. This will do two things.
1) Let them know you are waiting for the medical and that if they have sent it you didnt receive it.
2) Incase they did send it, and you can't find it.. this case specfic inquiry will save your behind if the 30-day count down (for medical results receipt) is well underway.

Hurlabrick, just looking at your Medical and Landing dates. Did you get an extension in your medical validity?

We called last Friday. As of then there was no request for medicals

No.

It is just the vagaries of the timeline on this forum! We (i.e. my wife) was given until June 2017 on the CoPR to 'land'. We actually 'landed to declare PR / activate CoPR' on 11th April 2017 in Ottawa (and now await the PR Card), but we plan to 'land as settlers' (i.e. for good) in July 2017 - hence my response on the timeline.

It's discouraging to see people who applied after you making more progress!

Yep - better get used to it though!

I myself 'waited' and saw many others on the spreadsheet who submitted around the same time as me get sponsor approval (in 15 - 40 days), while my own SA took 60+ days! Why? Who knows!

There is often no apparent rhyme or reason to it, and there is damned all you can do about it I am afraid! It will happen, you are just on a number of different conveyor belts!

I know this isn't the case, but it almost feels like they forgot about my wife and I lol

When will we know if our app has been transferred? And at what point does it transfer?

You say you already have SA and that CPC Mississauga have already requested Schedule A etc. and you have returned this. They should transfer the case to the local VO once they have checked your returned forms and at the same time (or close to it) also request the medical.

They should let you know via your MyCIC portal (have you managed to link yet?) and email (if you provided this information).

This is all relatively new / recent (i.e. the process and forms changed from 16th December 2016).

We have linked our app and the email is linked as well. We submitted schedule A via webform last Thursday, mailed schedule A which was received Monday AND emailed it yesterday

My experience is: SA/AOR2 to Medical -- 1 month of no news. And suddenly, there it was--- a medical request. :)

The reality is... each case is different. From what I see, it sometimes depends on who is handling your file at VO. I guess like any company, there are those who are fast, and there are those who are REALLY fast. But they have case managers to make sure that they (the staff handling your file) fall within the average (whatever that average is, we don't know). You'll be fine. If anything were blatantly wrong, they would have returned your application long ago. At this point, even if they find red flags (which is unlikely considering how you prepared for it), they will just ask you for more documentation or an interview (which is the extreme, extreme case). Like everyone said above, just relax and keep checking. :) In my case, I was patient because I knew I gave them everything I could give and I followed procedure to the letter. Also, I was confident because my relationship with my wife is genuine and I have nothing to hide. :) I also knew that while there were those who were ahead of me, I was ahead of others. :)

Your application is almost there. Best of luck :)
