I'm an economics graduate from 2018 planning to go for computer science or web dev diploma in a Canadian college. I've done a lot of online certifications in computer science and have a couple of months of experience along with a lot of freelance projects that I've been doing.
But, most people are suggesting me not to go for computer diploma since online certs are not being considered, I would not be able to prove my freelancing skills and I don't really have any shot at applying since even after getting admission I might get my visa rejected(applying through SDS stream).
I really want to take risk as I'm very passionate about this field but some friends are suggesting that if my visa gets rejected, my passport would be stamped and I'd have a bad record. What would you guys suggest?
