Hello all

I am a graduate student at the University of Ottawa and I have been working part-time throughout my graduation (20h/week).
At the moment, I have handed in my thesis and I am now waiting for the university to return it to me with corrections so I can submit the final version and schedule my defense. (This process can take up to 2 months).

Meanwhile, I have received a second part-time work proposition and I would like to know if I can work both (40 hours/week total). I have read on CIC website that a student may work full time during scheduled breaks, and I would like to know if this counts as one, since I have no more classes.

My main concern is that during this last steps in my university, I am no longer registered. I wonder if that means that I lost my full-time status and that I have to quit my job.

Thank you for taking the time to answer me!

You can work full time only if you have applied for a PGWP withing 90 days of graduation, your study permit is still valid and you are waiting the decision, as part of the transitioning to PGWP phase that R186(v) and R186(w).
