Working while waiting for the immigration approval process

If I marry my fiance and apply for family sponsorship, could I work remotely in Canada for my current US employer? I am a marketing manager who specializes in Internet marketing. Everything I do could be done online remotely.

Being the same field, i guess this is the advantage of this job profile that we can do the work remotely from anywhere around the planet with good internet connection.
