Hi Team,

I came to canada with 2171 and working for 2 years, due to project requirements changes to 2283 from last 1.5 years. I got IELTS score suit for 2283. I filed the PR. Now CIC questioned why there is change in roles from 2171 to 2283. Can any one help on this issues.

I have letters for both 2171 and 2283. How to address this issue??

Under which NOC was your LMO and work permit issued? (Or maybe you were working on an open work permit?) If you were on a closed work permit, did you get a new LMO and work permit when you swtiched NOCs?

There are a couple of issues here.

I am under closed WP under 2171(2 years) and 2283(1.5 Years).

If CIC is asking you to explain why you changed NOCs, then it probably appears to them that your job did not match the NOC code on your work permit. Therefore you would have performed "unauthorized" work which would put the application in doubt. Do you have a satisfactory explanation that you could give them?

Also (cross-post from the other thread):

I kept letter saying that I am currently working with employer but did not provide any employment letter stating roles and responsibilities instead I wrote covering letter with roles and resp.

Now CIC asking about all employment letters with employ roles and responsibilities given by Employer. Recently I got all letters from employer. Which letters do i need to submit either 2283 or 2171 letters?

I applied for 2281 but CIC asking all employment letters. so I provide all employment letter, will it problem or any issues. Please suggest me??

You need to submit reference letters (written by your employer this time, and meeting the requirements in the Document Checklist) for each job that you claimed as part of your work experience (Schedule 8 form). If you claimed both the NOC 2171 and the NOC 2283 jobs as part of your work experience, then submit both letters. If you only claimed NOC 2283, then submit only the NOC 2283 one.

I'm not sure what you mean by "applied for 2281", do you mean you applied for a job? In any case, if you didn't claim a job on your Schedule 8 form then you do not need to provide a reference letter for it.

Does your jobs and responsibilities are same since your start??

Hi,

Day one I landed in Canada I am working on same testing roles and activities but in issued different WP with 2171(2 years) and 2283(1.5 years).

Now problem is why employer changed 2171 high role to low role 2283. Please advise what answer we can give ??

What is the occupation mentioned on your first work permit for 2 years..?? as well, did you put 2171 NOC on Schedule 8 form??

So CIC is asking you to explain why you changed jobs from a higher-skilled one to a lower-skilled one?

Even though there are no problems with unauthorized work?

That's strange. Do you think you could paste in here the letter that you received from CIC? With personally-identifiable information removed.

Hi,

I applied PR under 2283.

This is mail content:
Please provide scanned copies of all documentation relating to your employment with XXXXX. This includes letters of offer and Deputation agreements.

So- I assume all ur letters have same designation/jobs and resp.. for both WP??

Hi,

I am 2 WPs, One WP with 2171 - comp analyst and consultant with 2 years and latest WP with 2283 - Systems Tester (1.5 years). Roles and responsibilities are almost same.

It sounds like you did not submit an employer reference letter with your original application package. This is not an optional part of the application package and it's great news that they are allowing you to fix it.

If they are asking for all documentation regarding your employment at that place, then I would suggest submitting information for both jobs.

Review the Document Checklist, section "Work Experience in Canada", and make sure you provide everything in there that you did not include in your original application package.

Also include the details that they have requested in the letter ("letters of offer and deputation agreements", which are not part of the checklist).

Thanks everyone for your support. I will make sure that I will submit all employment letter which support my roles and resp.

I agree that reference letter is mandatory document according to check list.
There are many employer who don't issue any employment letter to employ. In this case applicant submit T4/NOA/Pay stub, rejection mail from Employer and it considered by CIC . I personally know many such cases

Thanks

Basically, what I see here- You are doing same jobs and responsibilities since you are in Canada. However, CIC gave you first WP on 2171 and latest one on 2283..
In this circumstances, you need to advise CIC that you are doing same work with jobs and responsibilities from your beginning but CIC given different WP each time

That is why they want to see ur deputation letter/offer letter, if there is any difference between two i.e. your first WP application and Second one
