Working remotely outside of Canada for a Canadian company while on implied status

I've just applied to extend my open work permit, and I'm now on implied status. I'm currently in Canada and I work remotely for a Canadian company, and I am intending to travel away from Canada for 4 months while working remotely for this company. Can I continue to work for this company while abroad on implied status?

I know I cannot reenter Canada and continue to work while on implied status. I was planning to have someone mail me my new work permit once it arrives, then reenter Canada.

On Implied status, you can live and work inside Canada
When outside, you may not be having a payroll
Also when you get your WP, you will need to apply TRV to re-enter
