Working remotely for a foreign employer while being a student.

Hi,

I will be arriving in April as an international student for a 2 year program. My current employer (US based company) has allowed me to continue working remotely from home in Canada. Will it have any legal consequences if I work the permitted 20 hrs/week for Canadian employer + 20-30 hrs/week from home for the US employer?
The US employer would credit salary to my home bank account in India.

As long as your employer has no Canadian office and Canadian clients or customers then you can work remotely more than 20 hours per week.

No office, customers or clients in Canada, only a few Canadian suppliers that our company buys items from.
