Hi,

I am a graduate student registered full-time for this summer session. During this term, I have a major research project (like a thesis) and a co-op placement (most likely virtual) starting in June and ending in August.

Before the co-op placement starts, I’ll be working on my master’s project. But I’m wondering if during this period I can also work part-time, remotely for a Canadian company in another province. This way I would have the opportunity to work on my field for the month of May too.

As far as I understand, I would be on the clear because the work would be part-time (2 days a week) and I’ll be registered as a full-time student. I’m just concerned about the fact of it being remote.

Please share your thoughts, thanks!

No issue. Remote work within Canada will be considered like a job in person in Canada.
