Hi,

I am working in Canada on a permanent/full time position and my PR card will expire on Oct 5, 2021. I have applied for Canadian citizenship and received Acknowledgement of Receipt (AOR). I understand that I am on implied status when my PR expires but I would like to know if I can continue to work while on implied status. Your advise will be highly appreciated.

Thanks,
Jyoti

No, your PR status does not expire, that's why it's called 'permanent'.
It's your PR card that's expiring. PR card is a travel document, you don't need it unless you travel out of Canada in
Thank you so much for your quick response.

Agree with the above but would suggest applying for PR card renewal just in case - it takes months but (usually) less time than citizenship. Even if no plans to travel, the unexpected can happen and in some cases other organisations may ask for PR card.
