Hi, could someone please answer the following (simple) questions:

I am a New Zealander applying for a Canadian Working Visa.

One of the questions asked before doing the IEC application is whether i will be spending more than one month in any of the following countries (All of South America). After I have applied and received my IEC I will be spending a total of 8 months in all of the countries mentioned but less than one month in each of them. Does this mean i need to get a medical?

And if i do need to get a medical exam do i need to get it before i apply (ie before i even go to these countries) or after I apply but before entering the country (ie after i have visited these countries).

Please let me know as i need to apply soon and have had no luck trying to contact the embassy.

Just to clarify, i need a medical if:

"have lived or travelled for six months in a country or territory listed below in the year before you come to Canada"

I'll be spending less than 6 months at a time in each country on the list but in total will be spending 8 months in a number of countries that are all on the list.

Medical needed or not?
