Hi:

I am in Canada on a work permit that specifies my work location as Toronto. So far, I have been working from the city but plan to go home (outside Canada) for a couple of weeks over Christmas and then work remotely from there for a few weeks. Is this remote work going to cause any complications / entry refusal while trying to re-enter Canada.

Has anyone done this or know any one who's done so.

Thanks,
Pa

No issues. The location restriction only applies to working from / in Canada.

Hi scylla,
Do you have any official information? I tried looking for this same question on the government website and I didn't find anything.
I'm also trying to contact them, but I didn't get a response. I just want to make sure it won't cause any problems in the future.

Thanks!

I don't think any official link exists that has this information and I wouldn't expect a reply from IRCC.

IRCC isn't going to comment on what you're doing outside of Canada.

Any restrictions with regards to the work permit only apply to what you do while in Canada.
