Working for extended family member (CEC)

Hey guys, so i'm currently sitting on 10 months experience, and to reach the points threshold i will need the full year. My (first) cousin is self-employed and is offering me a job in sales to expand his business and this will help me get to 1 year. What potential problems could arise from this? Am i good to go as long as everything is on the books or will there be a potential conflict of interest?

In general, there is not necessarily a problem working for a relative as long as the job meets all the requirements.

This is where you could run into a problem though - most sales jobs are not considered skilled work and thus would not count for any of the Express Entry programs.

Thanks for the reply Dan, he deals with software design and his clients are businesses so i guess this may fall under technical sales specialist? Otherwise there will be administrative work so its possible to tailor a letter under those sort of responsibilities
