Hey there, first time poster!
I'm looking to clarify my situation, as I have no professional guidance this time around. So, I had been studying in Canada since 2013 (end of High school), then joined a uni in 2014 but dropped out in 2015. I was working for the past couple of years back in India and now I'm going back for a diploma which has mandatory co-op work.
SO, after reading up a lot I found out that my study permit got cancelled after 90 days and such so I applied for a new one, should get it soon. Now, I have a work offer that has stable work hours for the summer. They don't wanna get into the whole LMIA thing so they told me that I should have permission to work already. What I wanna know is (I already know the new study permit won't until I start class) will a co-op work permit (that I must apply for) allow me to work this summer, before my classes in Sept?

No you cannot start work until your classes start and to do so you would be working illegally. The rules are clear you have to be in full time education to work and that condition is not met until the day your classes actually start and the coop work permit assume is tied to your study permit not a separate entity but integral to your course.

Thanks for clearing that up, I was thinking that too
