I'm currently applying for a work permit with an LMIA, I was an international student in 2016-2018, I worked after I received my diploma and didn't applied for a PGWP because my study program did not qualified for it. I'm concerned about the consequences, of not getting my work permit approved because of this. I did it in honest ignorance of the fact that I was not authorized for working.
Does anybody knows what can I do in this case?

So you are implying that you worked without a status, isn't it? Can you convice IRCC about it, no you can't. You are in a serious trouble. I would suggest hiring a good immigration agent to handle it and not by yourself. Tell him everything and don't try to hide this thing in your application.

I have hired an immigration firm, and they want me to hide this information in my application... And I don't think is good at all because indeed is hiding information, and the consequences about giving false information could be even worst.

Oh my God, you are about to get in another mess. Hire another one who wants you to be clear in your application. If the agent is saying this but you don't agree with it I think you better consult someone else and spread a word about this agent. If he wants you to do this I don't
think he is capable to handle your case.

Exactly. that's mis-presentation and could result in very serious consequences.

Thank you everyone for your input. I have agreed with my representatives to admit the unathorized work in my application. I have made a letter to IRCC explaining everything, that it was an honest mistake and that would've stop working immediately if I knew it on time.
I submitted my application, let's see how it goes

Hello everyone, just a quick update on my application. I recently received the medical exam request, therefore I'm assuming that my application is going well and I will shortly receive the passport request (finger crossed)
I will keep you posted because I think is important to share our experiences in order to keep helping each other.

Cheers and peace out!

Medical is just standard request. Would not read into it too much.
