I am currently a Canada PR. I am working as a web developer for a canadian company remotely. Can I work from my home country for next 5yrs and still be eligible for PR renewal? Or I will lose my PR status? I was physically present in canada for just 1 year.
I am confused because of this link.

Here it says that the remote work experience for Canadian company would show that it will count towards PR status.

Working aboard do not normally count towards for your RO. The link you posted is regarding to temporary placement in an oversea location by a Canadian company. E.g. they want you to stay in a country to help startup a branch location and then relocate back to Canada for a few months or a year.

If you want to keep your PR, live in Canada. If your job can be done remotely, it won't fit that specific situation.

It says nothing of the sort.

It says "You need to work [abroad] full-time for: a Canadian business or organization, or the Canadian federal, provincial or territorial government."

To me, that rather clearly means it must be at the need of the company, and general 'remote work' ain't that.
