Can work inside the campus any time you like but

Can't work out side the campus for 6 months + 45 days (Application approval Time for Out campus work permit)...................

Students can not work 'off campus' during first 6 months (+ processing time of OCWP, which is around 1 month) - conditions of OCWP apply. However, all student can work 'on campus' right from the first day.

Just in case you are working illegally, off campus without a permit, a case will be filed against you and hearing will be held which may result in your expulsion as well as inadmissibility.

thanks Inam and momi for the info...+1 to both of you

Is canada very very expensive.....how much should one have in his pocket for the initial 6 months when working is not allowed..

Try to take money with u for the first seven months, as you also need to adapt to the conditions and also study side by side. But u can search for on campus job which will only be enough for your day to day expenses...Other than tuition u will need 6 to 7 thousand dollars...

Well it depends on your life style. If you share accommodation and cook your meal then you should have 450 to 500 CAD per month.

Except that a student has to show besides the first year tuition, $10K for living expenses and 2-3K for travel expenses.

The colleges do have on campus jobs but limited..........., secondly the Job prospects after diploma course depends upon u means how much learning you have done and how much you have adapted to their system and what is your field of expertise......., what ever college u choose don't ever choose private college, go for public colleges.......
