Hello Everyone,

I have few questions.

I moved to Canada in Dec 2017 to pursue my graduate degree in engineering. In the beginning, i.e. in 2018 from Jan to Aug, I was doing 2 off campus part time jobs for survival.

In the beginning, I didn't know that I was supposed to do only 20 hours / week part time off campus on sin, and I went over.

I came to know about this rule in August and stopped going over, left my other job, restricted my hours to 20 in one job itself, after that I occassionally might have gone above in my part time job, but, I always made sure that the rule is followed since then.

I applied for my coop work permit in 2018 and received my coop work permit. I am doing my coop now and planning to graduate this semester.

I filed my previous years taxes as well.

So my questions are:

1. Can I work while waiting for my PGWP decision?.

2. Is there any way to know in advance, whether my PGWP application gets accepted or not?.

3. Is there any way to know in advance, whether I went over or not in immigration officer's reports/ records?.

Please and kindly answer all my questions and assist me accordingly as soon as possible.

Thanks in advance

Others can comment or correct a needed but

1)Once you submit your PGWP application you can work pending a decision

2) No you just have wait it out

3)assuming you paid tax on these part time jobs then anything is possible to be found out for something there is no excuse to not know about given it is a specific study permit condition so if not discovered for the PGWP it could come up later for PR.

So, is there anything I can do about it, if found in the future?. I mean, there should some way or the other to get out of this, like a penalty or paying a fine or something like that.

Please note that I am NOT criticizing anyone on their answers, I am just expressing my queries. I think this is a learning opportunity for everyone of us and all are more than welcome to express your views/ opinions.
