Work Visa And Work Permit

I have applied for a work permit to extend my work with my employer.

Do I also need to apply for a work Visa as well or will it come with the work permit.

I cant find anything on the CIC website that explains it.

Yes as soon as you get your new work permit you need to apply for a work visa. Make sure your passport will not expire very soon as the expiry date of the new work permit depends also on the passport expiry date.if it will expire very soon, better for you to renew it then apply to avoid paying for two extensions .
The visa is used only when you are rentering to canada. Therefore you can postpone it with no issue as it is not needed inside canada.

Temporary resident visa + work permit = work visa. If you are from visa exempt country then only what you need is a work permit.

Hello.

I have the same question, My work permit will expire on December 2014. I have 2 years job offer but visa and work permit that validitt is only 1 year due to my passport expireation. I was ask to renew my passport first and then apply for work permit extension. How to do?

1.) Can I do it online?
2.) Do I need LMIE?
3.) Do I need new Job OFfer?
