work status after completion of course and before start of another course??

hi guys,

what is the work status of student after completion of one program (from january to september 2016) and before the start of another course in january 2016? can i work for 40 hrs/week? or just the 20 hrs/week which is along with the study.

Your dates don't make sense. Did you mean to say there would be a four month break (September to January) between ending the first course and starting the second? If so, you should be aware that study permits are automatically canceled and you fall out of status in Canada if you stop attending school for more than 90 days.

i have visa till november 30th 2016 then before that i can apply for january 2017 course so i will be extending my stay in canada. with a break from september till january . is this not appropriate?
