There are options but they are pretty limited.
- If you switch to a study permit, complete full time studies in Canada that are at least 8 months in length, then you will then qualify for a PGWP after you finish your studies that is equal to the length of your stuides.
- If you can qualify and be selected under an immigration program and submit your complete application, then you can qualify for a Bridging Open Work Permit, For example, if you can qualify to apply under Express Entry, submit your profile and have a high enough score to receive ITA, and then submit your complete application post-ITA, then you can apply for a BOWP after you have completed all of these steps.
