Hi everyone,

I am inquiring with regards to applying for a work permit. Person is here on a visitors visa, which with COVID-19 on the go it is hard to find employment of any sort. I read somewhere you can apply for a work visa if the spouse is a Canadian Citizen, but when speaking with Immigration they said you need a job letter offer. I am totally confused on what is really required.

If anyone can point me in the direction/advice it would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you :)

Are you actually married to a Canadian and applying for spousal sponsorship?

It is very difficult for visitors to get a WP. Given Canada's higher unenployment rate it will be even harder to find an employer willing to go through the tim and expense trying to get an LMIA and then getting an WP approved.
