If I get a work permit for BC,
1. Do I need to deposit GIC and international fees for my child aged 18 years.
2. Can my second child aged 13 years study there. Do I need to get study permit for him. Will I get grant from govt for his studies.

1. An 18 year old would be attending college or university. S/he will need to be accepted to a school and yes, you will need to show full proof of funds when applying for the study permit and pay international tuition.

2. Yes, he can study here. He could come as a visitor but it is better to apply for a study permit. There is no grant. He will be able to attend public school without paying tuition.

This is regarding LMIA.

If an employer want to hire a chef for a restaurant, is it restricted?

If the chef is hired for marketing purposes as well, ex: cooking and presenting and market the dishes to customers, can the employer get a LMIA?
