A friend of mine applied for work permit through an immigration consultant. The consultant uploaded wrong document in place of his college transcript and his work permit got rejected. It’s already been 90+ days so he can’t reapply. What is the best option for him now?

A friend of mine applied for work permit through an immigration consultant. The consultant uploaded wrong document in place of his college transcript and his work permit got rejected. It’s already been 90+ days so he can’t reapply. What is the best option for him now?

If he wants to remain and work in Canada, he will need to find an employer who is willing to give him a job offer and also obtain an approved LMIA. Your friend can then apply for a closed work permit.

Or he can complete additional studies (i.e. go back to school full time for at least a year) to qualify for a PGWP again.
