Hello there,

My wife and myself are working in Vancouver under two independent work permits and we have a girl born here in Canada.

I am not quite satisfied with my work situation because of a lot of bad management and stress, and would like to resign and switch my current work permit to a spouse/dependent one related to my wife's one.

First of all, is that possible ? will the new work permit allow me to work for any employer ?

And if it is possible, any idea on how much the process can take ?

Thanks for anyone helping with this question.

Not enough information. What kind of work permit does your wife hold? Is it a closed work permit supported by an LMIA or something else? Does she have a full time job? Is it NOC A, B or 0?

She is a postdoc at the university of British columbia, and I am a staff at the university too, both we are NOT under LMIA
our NOC is skill level type A
