Work permit to pr

Hey guys,

I've been in canada on a work permit for 6 months and am thinking of getting a pr. My work permit and Visa are valid for another one and half years from now. My question is can I enter the express express entry pool while on a work permit? Can I use the lmia I used to apply for the work permit? What are the other options I've got? Any tips and recommendations would do.
