I have currently submitted my PR application and I am waiting for the Background check to be completed. I have only applied for myself currently with spouse not accompanying for the sole purpose of Points. My spouse is in Canada as well on a dependent work permit. I will need to renew my work permit soon(June 2021). Also, due to some recent personal life events, I have currently filed for a divorce application from my spouse here in Canada. I wanted to know that if I file for a work permit extension, will her work permit be renewed as well? or would I have to apply for her separately? I do not want to file for her extension. Has anyone else been in a similar situation? I would really appreciate the help.
