Work permit renewal inside Canada

Has anyone tried renewing the work permit (same employer) at the US border recently? Online application seems to be taking forever, and they say they cannot provide reliable processing time due to COVID.

If you meet eligibility requirements and says if you flagpole, you still must quarantine for 14 days.

Thanks. Does it need to be in the hotel, or one can quarantine in the apartment too?

if you live in canada, you quarantine in your home.
