I just got a refusal of my work permit today for the reason of not providing a LMIA and confirmation from employment and social development Canada. I have an AINP certificate that is why we didn't provide an LMIA. Regarding the employment and social development Canada, can somebody help me what is it?

On the other side, I have already my AOR and medical done. I wonder what should I do now? Please help me....

I have to guess what you mean : you apply extend your work permit but that time you didn't get your AOR from CIC, and you applied work permit extend Feb 17, 2015?

Yes when I applied for extension Feb 2015 I haven't received my AOR. It's just an ainp certificate.

Hamid, thanks for the info. I have passed my application before Feb 21, so said changes should not apply to me.

if you have AOR
YOU DONT NEED LMIA

BUT If you were close wp
then you should apply close WP NOT open work permit

If you apply for extension of a close Work Permit Even if the Feb 21, 2015 changes did not apply to you, you still need a work permit support letter from AINP. It is a different letter from a AINP certificate. Once you already submitted your application to CIC and get AOR for permanent residency you can now apply for Bridging Open Work Permit if your Work Permit is about to expire in exactly or less than four months.

I was at the sweetgrass/Coutts border to extend my wp but the officer refused it saying I have AINP cert but no Letter of Recommendation from province of Alberta. I was told by AINP that I wouldn't need it but it'll be provided if asked for by CIC.The officer explained that they don't extwnd wp if no LOE attached and encouraged me to apply online instead. I'll try getting LOE from AINP and flagpole again :(

MYRSO, I called AINP before I applied for the extension asking for a support letter unfortunately they said they will not be giving since the AINP certificate is sufficient. If refused then I have to fax them a copy so that they can give a support letter.

My work permit has expired already, when I got my AOR. They said we cant have a multiple application that is why I didn't apply for a bridging open work permit.

I have stopped working now and figuring out on Monday with CIC what should I do.

Gosh! This system is just crazy! I did not really 'apply', just went to the border to flagpole and the officer said I should've applied online also apart from that she said she could've given the extension but since there is no Letter of recommendation attached she'll have to refuse it and she stamped my passport today's date and put June 19, 2015 in pen on it which is the expiry of wp.
No other proof of refusal was given apart from the stamp on my passport. She just said that she'd put notes on her file about the refusal and that next time I apply for extension I should mention in my app about this refusal.
I'd called AINP last week to confirm if we needed a Letter of Support and was told that Alberta usually doesn't give it but if asked by CIC they'll provide one. When I mentioned this to the officer she said that she's not CIC, she's the Canada Border Immigration officer and she does need to see the letter of recommendation.
She wasn't very pleased to know my intension of extending wp at border at the very first place anyways! I felt like she was 'looking' for a reason to refuse! Also started asking me if I was ever 'jailed' or have any illness! I'm not being mean but I guess these questions are asked when they actually let you in and want to confirm your criminal and medical history. I also had my Police Clearance Cert on me just in case. Its just very disappointing when immigration officers aren't co-operative
