Work permit on Super visa

Hello,

My father is in Canada on Super Visa and he has got positive LMIA and offer letter to work in a company.If he applies for employer specific closed work permit,would it cancels his 10 years Super visa?
I heard two years work permit will supersede 10 years Super visa.

please advise if someone knows about it.
