Work Permit-International Student

Hi,

I am an Indian student. I applied for a work permit on 21st March online, by uploading all my documents on the MYCIC website.

It is more than a month, and I have still not received my permit. My start date is soon approaching.


1. As an Indian student, am I eligible to apply for a new work permit online or I can apply only through the VFS?
2. My passport is still with me. How and where am I supposed to send my passport?

Hi,

I am still in India. Need the permit soon now as my departure date is approaching.

If you have paid your fee and uploaded all necessary document, it takes up to 3-4 months for you to have it.
Did not know why you have scheduled a departure date as you need to have your visa to your passport before you can enter Canada to have your WP processed.
