Hello all,

Two years ago a Canadian company offered me a job and they issued me a work permit (2 years). However, the position haven't opened until now. In other words, I'm still in my original country and haven't traveled to Canada yet.

So my work permit is about to expire (July 2014) and I wonder if I can apply for the immigration process, using my work visa, even if I have not made the first entry yet?

My work permit is not open. I can only apply for the company who offered the job.

Thank you.

To apply for FSW through the arranged employment stream, the company must have made you a permanent job offer in Canada based on you being accepted as a federal skilled worker. Having a work permit isn't enough.
