Work permit for Spouse outside of Canada

My friend's husband is in India ( recently got married ). While they are preparing the documents to file for Husband's PR, she is wondering if there is a way to get her husband to Canada on a WP.

The sponsor is back in Canada and is a Permanent resident.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

I don’t think there’s an option to apply for WP for Outland application. Let’s wait to hear from others.

No OWP on an outland application. Applicant and sponsor must both be living inside Canada at the time of application in order to be eligible to apply for a work permit
