Work Permit for Refugee Claimants

Hi,

When I submit my application package I do select both work permit and study permit application. I receive my RCPD by the end of July. The officer told me that a document will be generated once they receive my medical exam results.

Just wonder how long it's going to be for me to receive my WP/SP? I check on the website says paper 90+ days and 120+ days for work permit application. Do I consider my application to be the paper one or the online one?

Also, I would be back in school in September, which requires a study permit. Am I able to faster the application process by contact IRCC?

Getting a study permit is not guaranteed for asylum seekers. You will have to wait and see whether you are granted one. Now that the wait periods are extremely long work permits are granted to everyone. Previously it was only those who were receiving welfare.
