I am August 2015 inland paper based PNP. I have done my medical exam in June 2016.
There are employment restrictions on my SINP.
My post-graduate work permit will expire in July 2016. I am trying to extend my work permit.
I have several questions for you guys.
1. Could I apply for open work permit?
2. If I can only apply for closed work permit, is it necessary for my employer to do LMIA-exempt process?
3. If my employer don't want to do LMIA-exempt process, do I have other options?
Please a friend need an immigration consultant or lawyer who can assist him process work permit. Does anyone know any representative who handle that in Canada?
I will appreciate any suggestion. I have already recommended David Cohen, but he needs one or two more to make comparison.
I just got my pgwp, but cic issue pgwp base on my old passport expiry date that is of just 10 month from now ,
although i already submitted new passport with expiry of 10year while i submitted application.
Please share if anyone come across same situation.

My wife got open work permit rejection 3 times.
First time we applied on November 2015 and she got rejected for following reasons:
- Family ties in Canada and in country of residence
- length of proposed stay in Canada
- Purpose of visit
- Personal assets and financial status
Second time we applied on February 2016 and got rejection for following reasons:
- from the documents you have submitted to support your application, I am not satisfied that you meet the requirements under C42 issuance.
Third time we applied on July 2016 and got rejection for following reasons:
- Family ties in Canada and in country of residence
- employment prospectus in country of residence
- current employment situation
- Purpose of visit
- Spouse’s current employment in Canada
I was on student visa when we applied for 2 times but during 3rd time my status was work permit and I was having a full time job(NOC B).
I am really pissed off with this process and I have no clue. Please guys advise me what should I do now?

I would wait till end of September since you applied for restoration of status. I'm not sure how long it takes to get that as well, but for me it was from May 27, to September 6.
You call call but they might say it's still in process. So wait till end of next week if nothing then go-ahead and submit case specific inquiry this way you will know whats going on with your file.
My restoration and work permit is refuse
My Soliciter put wrong info
CIC send me letter that you don't have any status in Canada so leave country
My Soliciter advice me go to US and apply again.
