Work Permit Extension July

We applied for our work permit extension July 14 online and still no final decision on mycic. When we ring cic they keep saying there is a backlog. Today is 154 days waiting for a decision.

Please share details if you are on similar time frame!

Same here. Applied on July 15th for the extension. No reply. When called CIC they asked to have patience. No response to webform query also.
God knows whats going on

Sure. Called up CIC this morning again and the agent was good this time. He explained that my file has gone for additional review and that it will take up to March 27th to get a decision on it.
He said nothing can be done to fast pace it but the decision will be done when all reviews are complete.

So basically we are stuck and nothing can be done except waiting.

Some people posted on the other thread they got their wp ext applied july aug and some sept applicants

Hi, Finally attorney got an update on my July 15th case. I am asked to undergo Medical.
I did not undergo medical while we did work permit and now for extension they are asking for medical.
Very strange process.

Hi any updates on your work permit extension? I also have my AOR on my PR application submitted last Octber Aor rcvd Last january, do you think it will effect our PR application if we still dont rcvd our wp?

Now the status on phone states that application is approved. And correspondence will follow.
And i also got mail for medical. Now will wait for the physical document.
