Work permit extension - Coronavirus

Hi all,

I’m from Hong Kong and entered Canada with a working holiday OWP which expires on May 9. The government recently implemented a new policy that could extend permits for Chinese nationals that are affected by the coronavirus. Would I be eligible to extend my current working holiday OWP until it’s safe to return home? Thank you. You can see the link below for the notice.

1. Probably won't apply to Hong Kong as there are flights and the airport is open,
