Just need some guidance on how to go about this.
I'm an employer and my worker's work permit will be expiring on June 8th, 2024.
We didn't know that we need a new LMIA for him to extend his work permit.
We just submitted our LMIA application. so the wait begins.
In the meantime, is there any other way that they can do to make sure that they don't get sent home.
I'm thinking if we don't get the new LMIA approval in time before their work permit expire, we should do something else.
If they apply for a visitors visa? they'll apply right now. if the LMIA doesn't get approved before June 8th, will they be still able to stay in Canada while waiting for their visitors visa?
Is there any other way that they can do so they don't go home if the LMIA takes longer?
