Work Permit eligibility

I am currently a student of chemical engineering and technology in Brampton.
I got compartment (retest) in one subject and they will give me the subject again after one year.
So there is a gap of more than eight months in my study.
So i want to know that will i be eligible to get a post graduation work permit considering the gap ?

Possibly No...you have to be a full time student except the last semester...but you can still give it a try
