Work permit eligibility

Hi Guys,

I have a question regarding work permit eligibility.
I currently have a work permit limited to my employer with a LMO. My work permit expiry date is May 2014.

I have recently applied for CEC and I have an ARO. I was wondering if I am eligible to receive an open work permit?

I am on the same boat, I called CIC they said I can't, thie only people can apply for open work permit, who has AOR or Nomination letter, and valid work permit should be expire within 4 months. so you can't apply for open work permit

As of December 24, 2024, it's taking 162 for any work permit extension within Canada. You can check at the IRCC website : https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...vices/application/check-processing-times.html
