Work permit - changing employer at the border

I have a valid closed work permit and a TRV. I received a job offer from another company.
Is it possible to obtain a new work permit by going to Canadian border with an LMO and a signed contract instead of applying online and waiting for 2 months?

Did anyone have such experience?
