Hi there, I was just wondering if someone could shed some light into this:
I am currently working in Toronto with a work permit that expires on April 25th.
I got a new offer from a different employer and sent everything to Vegreville. Got there on February 7th and it was sent 2 days ago to a local CIC office (apparently Niagara)
The new work offer is a position that falls under NAFTA (am Mexican), and it is LMO-exempt.
My questions are,
does someone knows what this implies? Is it more likely that the work permit will be denied?
does anyone have any idea of the processing times in this office? the employer that made the offer might hire someone if this takes too long (another month)
if this change of conditions is not processed before my permit expires, do I still get implied status?
I would really appreciate any info that might come to mind. I am really nervous and stressed
