Work Permit Applications at NYC for 2013

Do they ask you what kind of medical emergency is that? also is med emergency a big factor in getting the WP at consulate. Reason i am asking is i am planning to go there on tuesday and i had filed on 1/25. If you can just guide me on what to say there for a better chance

did you guys apply directly or through an attorney? does it make any difference? also, did you need an LMO or you already had an LMO when you applied?

Hey Brar, it just came to my mind now, the consulate only entertains walk-ins on Mon, Wed and Fri. So going there this Tuesday might not be possible. Just a heads up.

I thought the Mon, wed, Fri were for Applying the WPs. Otherwise their consulate hours for public are - Mon - fri 9 - 12. Is that not correct?

I applied directly. I don't think it matters. Mine is Intra Company Transfer.

I have applied for Intra Company Transfer through my employer on 7th Feb, 2013. The application has reached Newyork Canada Consulate on 20th Feb, 2013. It is LMO exempt. I have not heard anything till now ???

Anyone has got visa these days.

Are there any chances of rejection of this ICT work permit visa? In case of any rejections, how long it will take the consulate to reject the application?

I am in perplexed state since I have to travel to India on May 22nd, 2013.

Did not hear any rejection till date. Don't worry about rejection. Mine was filed on Feb 6, 2013...still waiting

No reply from the consulate. I wrote them on 4/10 and 4/15 (today morning)

Yes my docs were recd by consulate on Feb 6 and I haven't got any response yet. I mailed mine to my attorney (through company) and not sure how the attorney submitted. i assume it would have been mail because my attorney is Toronto based. Mine is intra company transfer work permit.
